The lost portrait

December No. 11 was as I thought…. in the studio.
Here we go back in time before we go forwards.

Now there are two whole months of self portraits and they're still different. Still enjoying them therefore I will carry on.

As you will notice, I begin to get a little pissed off at looking at my own face. Actually, it was usually doing the eyes, not quite sure why. A little thought required or maybe not.

It is now the 4th day and I'm starting to be here properly.
Takes a while.
The self portraits are happening but as yet I haven't figured out the best way to get the images onto here, but it will happen.
Chowpatty beach, Mumbai was visited on Thursday and wht a lovely beach to have in a city!, so we sat for a while in the shade after a very tasty masala dosa.
Watching the traffic go by, the "I'm Here! I'm Here!" of the cars, bikes and trucks, with pigeons smacking their wings as they take off.

In my favour, I have been looking at a lot of Francis Bacon but his are so much more sculptural, must try again.

A whole new set of self portraits to follow.

This paper was prepared a long time ago, I went through a whole sketchbook just making up pages, and now they're all gone.

So….. I get all the fun of preparing another sketchbook… :)

It has been a busy few days but the portraits have been completed just not posted until now.

I had initially intended to draw back into this,

then decided to leave it as is.

...… That's it, I have finished my portrait a day for November, and I've enjoyed it a lot, learnt a lot, in fact it's been a bit of a diary of my moods in some respects. I feel that I've hardly started going out of my comfort zone so I have decided to carry on into December at least until I go away to India and then it'll be all different.
