Last August portrait

thirtyfirst

The last portrait of August is watercolour and I feel as if I was getting somewhere in the lower half, so will be practicing a little more. I'd like to use more vibrant colours but I will work up to that.

Now only two months left until I have a whole years worth of self-portraits.
Countdown begins ..... 61

Not sure what any of these drawings say about me but it has been a bit of an exhausting time recently.
Most certainly a desire to hide, from what I'm not sure, probably myself.
4 more days left of August, the time is certainly ticking away. Counting down .... 65 left.

Six more!

August...  How did I ever get to here and still be drawing portraits?
They are still enjoyable on the whole and I will probably carry on drawing them but not so disciplined. Although, there is definitely something rewarding about drawing everyday, having to find that focus and just to look at myself as a lot of lines or shadows without thinking of anything else.
Yes.... it is a good thing.

There will be six more just as soon as the software will allow me to upload the images. Until then you have to imagine.

AUGUST!

Shocked, Stunned and not a little bit amazed, we are already in August.
It's been an amazing year so far.
But back to the job at hand..... more portraits.

First
second
third

fourth

The second portrait is one that I do like, trying to do less which I find difficult sometimes. The fourth was just done with curved lines which is not something I was trained to do with life-drawing, but the rules are there to be broken in an experimental way of course.
